Husband of woman found dead in Angeles National Forest may have fled to Peru, officials say

LOS Angeles – Officials looking for the husband of a woman found died last week in the National Forest of Angeles in California, believe that he may have fled in Peru.
Sheylla Cabrera, 33, from Lancaster, north of Los Angeles, was missing on August 12 in the Sheriff’s department of the County of Los Angeles.
The deputies found a security video of her husband, Jossima Cabrera, 36, “dragging a large object in a large piece of equipment” from the apartments complex where they lived with three young sons, the Sheriff department announced on Tuesday.

Officials believe that the unfair game was involved in the disappearance of Cabrera, and Jossima Cabrera was named person of interest.
Mexican and Peruvian consulates were alerted about Cabrera, and investigators later learned that it had fled the United States. On Saturday, the three children of Cabrera were found safe and placed in police custody in Peru, said the Sheriff department.
Meanwhile, a search for Cabrera was launched in the National Forest of Angeles.
On Saturday morning, the Montrose Mountain research and rescue team pointed out to identify “an object similar to the material that was seen removed by the person of interest on the side of a embankment” in the forest, said the Sheriff department.
This material contained Sheylla Cabrera’s body, he said.
The Los Angeles County Legalist’s office will determine the official cause of death.
NBC Los Angeles obtained a video that showed a man who was fighting to transport something large and large wrapped in a blanket through the apartment complex.
Neighbors told the station that they had pointed out Sheylla Cabrera missing and that she had told them that her husband was physically violent.
The neighbors developed the apartments complex and found the video mentioned by the police. The video was recorded around 4 am on August 10, they said.
“I have never had any interaction with the husband. He always seemed, like crazy all the time,” said Mario Sanchez at the station.
Sheylla Cabrera’s parents told their daughter to the station on August 9, when she said she was going to take her children and leave her husband.
The RPP Noticias media in Peru spoke to Jossima Cabrera’s lawyer, who said it was not his client in the video, who, according to him, was published and was not dated or prevented from time.
The Sheriff department said he would present a case to the Los Angeles County Prosecutor’s Office to consider depositing accusations of murder against Cabrera and obtain his return to the United States.
The DA office said that the case would be presented to prosecutors on Thursday.
“Jossima Cabrera is currently in Peru, pending a more in -depth investigation necessary to court it,” said the Sheriff department.
