I like the Nothing Phone 3, but I love the company’s Headphones 1 – they’re my top tech of 2025 (so far)

Can anyone watch the Nothone 1 helmet for the first time without smiling? It was the speech of the Sydney office of Techradar when I grabbed it for the first time and practically everyone I have shown to coo. And it is because he carries his best aspects outside.
The Nothone helmet 1 is a breath of fresh air among the headphones otherwise well adjusted but very. I am sure I would have aroused strong reactions with this declaration, but listen to me, please.
I could focus on the cover of Techradar smartphones (after handing out with the phone Nothing 3), but it is still quite obvious in my opinion that the overwhelming majority of oriented headphones have a neutral and inspired aesthetic, incorporating ovular cups and generally colors in one turn without speaking. Tactile pimples are common, as is limited color options.
To protest, the cups of helmets 1 are square, the exterior sporting an aesthetic evoking retro science fiction successes as Blade runner And Akira. A combination of metals and plastics has been used so that headphones 1 feels unique wherever your fingers can land, and unlike the company’s phones – which you would be inclined to put in one case – the aesthetics of these headphones is at any time.
And, above all, there are no touch controls – a feature of which I am more and more tired in all the technology that I review, from portable devices to electric cars. This is the song for which I am most in mind, and when mixed at a fairly modest price, I believe that headphones 1 represents the best realization of the vision of nothing to this day.
The Nothone 1 helmet is emblematic and, in my opinion, it is the technology of the moment.
Nothing cooks

I do not believe that nothing needs its helmet to offer the best sound quality among its narrow competition. Indeed, as you would have read in our review Headphone 1, the sound can appear as compressed of these cans – but I am struck by all the aspects that the company has to grant too much weight on its sound landscape – after all, sound is a personal preference.
Distinctive aesthetics will undoubtedly doubt many potential customers, but as with Nothing’s Phones, style has its fans. This is exactly the kind of aesthetic that I like, bringing back to retro conceptions while feeling fresh and unique in its time. It is daring, different and to a certain extent highlights the design chops that companies like Apple were known years ago (think of the iMac G3).
And I could harass the aesthetics for an entire article, but I will save you boredom by moving to Nothing’s Silver Bulte – Real buttons. The technological industry as a whole, so dedicated to efficiency and maximized savings, has forgotten that tactile pimples feel really well to use and give the user much more confidence on their product (in that they will be better informed of which pimples have been pressed, of which functions are activated).

The volume is controlled by what nothing calls the roller, a cylinder moved horizontally on the edge of the helmet, which can also be in a hurry to take a break, play and switch between ANC and transparency (more on this subject later). It is a button of all trades, in fact, and something rarely seen in the helmets industry these days. The Sonos Ace and the Bose Quietcomfort Ultra headphones have multifunction buttons, but I am not aware of many sets that give a button so many functions.
Meanwhile, a “paddle” under the roll selects the next or previous track, while offering response and rejection calls. A additional The button at the top right of the right cut then activates your voice assistant on the Android and iOS platforms, but can also be linked to several other functions on nothing in the operating system (or if you use a telephone nothing). There is another button inside the good cup, but this is only used for Bluetooth pairing.
It makes me so happy! So long and goodbye to the annoyance of not activating a function like skip or pause because a touch control did not notice the delicacy of your finger press.
Better yet, with most of the headphones on the left without buttons on the way, the headphones show a lot of free space. On the one hand, it is space that I am happy to leave on display because they look great. On the other hand, I want to cover these bad boys with stickers, and it is the kind of thought that fun philosophy feeds.
By finishing the things that I really like in these headphones, the active cancellation of noise is extremely impressive – tied with the Sony headphones that I have used in the past – and powerful enough to remove the audio from a room enough with a live DJ just next to me. I like to do the work with the cancellation of noise turned all along, so it’s super satisfactory for me.
Nothing is perfect

There are only a few things that I hope that nothing will change with software updates or upcoming products.
The first may seem a little strange, but believe me when I tell you it’s annoying. The sound effects of nothing with helmet 1 are uncomfortable. The transition to transparency mode gives an effect that looks like someone’s breathing in your ear, while other sound effects feel aggressive and far too tight – like a thud to activate noise cancellation, or a science fiction computer when deactivating the ANC or transparency.
I understand, nothing has a very deliberate approach to aesthetics and design, and it extends to its sound effects, but it is simply too much – you can be unique without being bizarre.
Another is that the headphones are quite tight on my head – and I have a fairly average head! After a while, headphones 1 begins to feel uncomfortable, so I hope that the company releases a size model or makes an adjustable strip for the second generation model.

There are also problems that examiners have raised with Sound. Indeed, my Sony WH-1000XM5 earpiece produces a more balanced sound despite a slightly older cans, with a deeper bass and a richer sound. For a pair of headphones as expensive as they are, you are certainly expecting that headphones 1 be up to it – especially since they were settled in collaboration with the British pillar Hi -Fi Kef.
Now don’t get me wrong: the sound is great and passable, but I would certainly like it to be better. Unfortunately, although we give you a decent quantity of audio profile setting via the Nothing X application, you cannot make headphones produce a sound that seems more dynamic.
I always encourage anyone who appreciates the design to audition headset 1, of course, because what may not seem good for me may seem fantastic – as I have already alluded, the sound is personal. Notices can only provide as much information as if you like sound produced by a product, then it is good for you.
Apart from that, I really don’t think there is something else that is not going well with the Nothing 1 helmet: it is well weighted, can become strongly compact and to some of the best ancients that I have ever heard.
Nothing is upwards

Four years after the release of its first product, the EAR 1 headphones in 2021, followed by a competitive portfolio of aesthetically interesting technology, nothing ultimately tilted its hand to reveal its most impressive product to date – a device that really has one competition with an exceptional user interface.
It’s really as simple. The Nothone 1 helmet may not have the best sound quality of all the earphones on the market, but it is certainly one of the most exciting options. The aesthetic rocks, it has an excellent set of features and, ultimately, it is not inaccessible at an inaccessible price (and there is a good chance that you can find a good discount when the Black Friday 2025 comes to call later in the year).
I am really excited to see what a set of new generation headphones look like. For the moment, I think I will use the Nothone 1 helmet as my daily audio apparatus instead of my Sonys or my Samsung buds, and that said something.
