Mom Told Her Son May Never See—Then Captures the Moment Everything Changed

After months to have said that her son could never see, a mother captured the exact moment when everything has changed, and she realized how her son is a “miracle”.

Maman Stacey Venter noticed that something did not seem well with her son’s vision about 8 weeks old. She said Nowsweek That he “did not make visual contact”, his eyes traveled and he did not respond to the visual clues.

Ventter continued to test his son’s visual responses in the hope that one day he could react.

After several months, she thought she saw Cohen react to the light that comes out of the screen of her mother’s phone. He did not follow him, and it was just a minor response, but Venter said that she “knew it was the beginning of something”.

Then came the central moment when Venter held an orange bullet in front of his 10 -month -old son, and his astonishment held his hand to catch him. She released her phone to capture the incredible step that changed everything.

“I had such a deep conviction and faith that Cohen would see one day, so I constantly tested his visual answers – always looking at, always hoping,” said Vent.

“I had this growing wait that one day he would respond to a toy or a ball, and the day I filmed this video was the day he finally occurred. I could see the second his eyes locked on the ball and then extend my hand slowly. From this moment, his vision began to improve – well but stable.”

We still do not know how Cohen can see, but Venter thinks that he can now distinguish “a reasonable quantity”, depending on the way he interacts with the world around him.

Now, at 2 years old, Cohen looks directly at his parents and smiles, laughs when they shoot silly faces, and he can see food when he is placed in front of him. Indeed, Ventter even learned that, if she placed raisins in the room, Cohen ramp to locate them.

In May, she shared the images of “The day everything changed” when Cohen reached the ball, and he became viral with more than 1.2 million views and more than 29,000 likes at the time of the editorial staff.

This led to a wave of support and praise for Cohen, because people around the world were encouraged by the resilience of the little one. Ventter has received countless family messages crossing similar situations that have made their faith renew after seeing how far Cohen came.

“I did not expect our story to reach so far, but I am so grateful to be able to restore – to share what has worked for us and to offer hope to families who may have the impression of being in a hopeless place,” said Venter.

“Cohen’s journey taught me that children are much more resilient, intuitive and miraculous than we think. Diagnostics can be useful, but they do not define our children – and they certainly do not dictate their potential.”

The Viral Tiktok video has earned more than 500 comments so far, as a user has written: “What a little absolute warrior”.

Another person replied: “Never say. God is bigger than anything and everyone.”
