I Tried the New McDonaldland Meal for Adults, With Its Bizarre Pink and Blue Shake

McDonald’s continues to capitalize on the love of its customers for the clumsy history of the company. Recently, Happy Meals included toys on the theme of McDonald’s – such as drinking machines, fryers and trays with food – delivered in mini -happy meals. And the very long snack wraps finally returned after a campaign of viral fans. Now McDonald’s has introduced the McDonaldland meal, which goes right after this adult market that have a nostalgic feeling for golden arches. And it comes with a shock in colors like you have never seen it before.

The McDonaldland meal was released on Tuesday, and I took one at my local MCD. It is not cheap – here at Seattle at a large living cost, the average meal was $ 16.59 and the Great was $ 18.29.

You can choose from a quarter of books with cheese or a 10 -piece McNugget command. It is also delivered with the famous fries of the chain and your choice of drink. But the specialized drink designed to go with the meal is called MT. McDonaldland Shake, and it is a flamboyant blue color, surmounted by bright pink whipped cream.

You know what the ordinary food of McDonald’s looks like, but you may never have had this flavor to shake before. McDonald’s teased in his press release that he is “up to discovering the surprise flavor”. (You can order the shake without the meal if you just want to try it.)

I prepared myself for a super-sigh Shake that I would take a sip and I then throw away. But I was surprised. It was an acceptable flavor that I drank about half of. Soft, yes, but not in the mouth. There was a wave of fruit flavor that I couldn’t exactly nail.

Maybe the daddy’s beard? Maybe the blue raspberry? Maybe both, mixed? I would not order Mont McDonaldland again, but it is a fun and colorful touch for a unique purchase. If you don’t want to try it, you can choose a regular drink or another Shake flavor with your McDonaldland meal.

I sampered the bright pink whipped cream alone, and it did not seem to have flavor, so maybe they were taking regular whipped cream and pink complexion.

Instead of a simple toy, the McDonaldland meal is delivered with a 5 -inch 5 -inch box with one of the characters in the McDonaldland mascot. I ended up with Hamburglar, who, after Grimace, would probably have been my choice.

Boxes of boxes are in relief with Hamburglar, Grimace, Ronald McDonald, the mayor McCheese, Birdie the Early Bird and the Fry Guys. Honestly, I’m not sure what someone would do with this box, but it was definitely an article included more than most Happy Meal toys.

Inside the tin is a card with a code that you can scan to explore McDonaldland online, an identity card for your particular character, two postcards and four stickers. One of my stickers said “Robble Robble”, the Hamburglar’s favorite saying, and we read: “Continue! Hamburglar and I are in mid-heist.” I can’t really imagine anyone puts them on his bottle of water or his laptop, but to everyone.

Honestly, unless the nostalgia for McDonald’s is your thing, I recommend that you stick to your habit with golden arches and jump the meal. But if you don’t have enough blue and pink food in your life – and who does it? – Try Mont McDonaldland to shake once, pass it to let your friends guess the flavor, then return to chocolate or another good standard flavor.
