Three police officers responding to a domestic violence call were injured and one suspect killed in Rochester, New York
ROCHESTER, New York — Three police officers responding to a domestic violence call were injured and a suspect was killed Friday evening in Rochester, New York, according to authorities.
“Several shots were fired” after Rochester Police Department officers responded, city Police Chief David Smith said at a news conference. The suspect then fled and officers found the person nearby, Smith said.
The three injured police officers were in hospital. Details of their conditions were not disclosed.
“It’s always our biggest nightmare this time of year; these kinds of cases,” said Rochester Mayor Malik Evans.
He asked everyone to pray for the officers.
