ICE ‘Basically a Revolutionary Guard’, Should Be Abolished as It Is
On Thursday’s “CNN News Central,” Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) said he wants to abolish ICE as it currently is, “and they’re basically Revolutionary Guards on our streets.” He also argued that “they were not allowed to get into Ms Good’s car”.
Co-host Kate Bolduan asked, “Do you want to abolish ICE as it is today? »
Cohen responded: “I will – yes, I do. ICE went overboard in what they did on the streets and hiding their identities, wearing masks, not having their name on a badge, or having a badge where they can be identified, and just grabbing people and violating the law. They had no right to get in Ms. Good’s car. There’s nothing they can do except enforce immigration laws or stop some sort of impediment to immigration laws. immigration. None of that. So they’ve gone way beyond their powers, and they’re basically Revolutionary Guards on our streets.
