Ikea’s new wireless charger looks like a delicious squishy donut

After announcing new Matter-enabled smart devices and sleek wireless speakers over the past few months, Ikea continues to expand its consumer electronics offering with three new wireless chargers. They’re limited to 15W Qi2.0 charging rates, but are cheap and feature designs that look more like home decor accents than traditional tech accessories.
The highlight of the new collection is the $9.99 Västmärke wireless charger which looks like a red donut just missing icing and sprinkles. It’s made of silicone, and its design lets you wrap and hide its built-in USB-C power cable. You can use it as a standalone wireless charger on your desk or nightstand, but since it’s compatible with magnetic mounts including Apple’s MagSafe and Google’s Pixelsnap, this version of the Västmärke can also serve as a makeshift PopSocket to help you hold your phone in one hand.
The $24.99 Västmärke Wireless Charging Stand doesn’t break any new ground, although its base is cork, so it’s slightly better looking and perhaps even a good place to leave notes secured with thumbtacks. The $24.99 Västmärke Wireless Charger with Lighting is potentially the most convenient of the three new versions. It’s a large bowl that you can drop your keys, wallet, or sunglasses into when you walk in the door, as well as your phone, which will charge atop a Qi puck in the middle. You can alternatively place it on your nightstand and use it as a night light. Pressing the wireless charging puck turns an LED light on and off, which emits a soft glow beneath the bowl.
