– Manchester United and Newcastle United have joined the race to sign the Brentford winger Michael Kayodereports TEAMtalk. – AFC Bournemouth close to signing Alex Jiménez on a permanent deal after the full-back triggered a clause in his loan spell at AC Milan, Sky Sports News reports. The Cherries are expected to pay Milan £16.8m (plus £4.5m in add-ons) for Jiménez, who has been a regular in the Premier League this season, making 21 appearances to date. Once the transfer is completed, his contract at Bournemouth will run until June 2031.
– Sandro Tonali could demand a departure from Newcastle United if the club fails to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, according to Football Insider. Recent reports have linked the Italy international with a move to Arsenal on deadline day, although such a move has not materialized. However, with clubs across Europe monitoring his development, the Magpies could be forced to let their star midfielder leave this summer if European football is not assured next season.
