– Manchester United and Newcastle United have joined the race to sign the Brentford winger Michael Kayodereports TEAMtalk. The 21-year-old is also wanted by Manchester City, having impressed in his first full season in west London. The Italy U21 international has attracted plenty of attention for his long throws, which have caused problems for defenses up and down the Premier League this season. Brentford paid around £15 million to sign Kayode permanently this summer following a six-month loan from Fiorentina, but will now demand a fee in excess of £50 million from any interested clubs. During his time at Juve, he scored 46 goals in 117 Serie A matches.
– Arsenal are one of several clubs trying to sign Bayern Munich. Leon Goretzka on a free transfer, according to the Daily Mirror. The Gunners have reportedly had their inquiries into a January transfer rejected by the German club, but that could all change at the end of the season. Goretzka’s current contract is set to expire in June, opening the door for a possible summer transfer. Atlético Madrid are long-time admirers of the 31-year-old, alongside Napoli and Juventus. However, with Goretkza keen to challenge in the Premier League, Arsenal could well emerge as leaders in the coming months.
– AFC Bournemouth close to signing Alex Jiménez on a permanent deal after the full-back triggered a clause in his loan spell at AC Milan, Sky Sports News reports. The Cherries are expected to pay Milan £16.8m (plus £4.5m in add-ons) for Jiménez, who has been a regular in the Premier League this season, making 21 appearances to date. Once the transfer is completed, his contract at Bournemouth will run until June 2031.
– Sandro Tonali could demand a departure from Newcastle United if the club fails to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, according to Football Insider. Recent reports have linked the Italy international with a move to Arsenal on deadline day, although such a move has not materialized. However, with clubs across Europe monitoring his development, the Magpies could be forced to let their star midfielder leave this summer if European football is not assured next season.
