Two Christmas barks sold in Aldi stores nationwide have been recalled due to undeclared allergens, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on November 26. The recall involves two Choceur items, produced by Silvestri Sweets Inc., whose packaging was exchanged in error. As a result, Choceur Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon Holiday Bark contains undeclared wheat, and Choceur Cookie Butter Holiday Bark contains undeclared pecans. The recalled products pose a serious health risk to people with allergies to wheat or pecans.
