James Comer Drops an Eye-Opening Surprise on Hakeem Jeffries During House Debate on Epstein Legislation – RedState

The fact that there is regularly a lot of nonsense in the House means that there is rarely a dull moment. That’s exactly how things have played out over the past week, between the vote to reopen the government and the Democrat’s yada yada over the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
As RedState reported earlier, the House did indeed vote Tuesday to release the files by a vote of 427 to 1, with the only dissenter being Rep. Clay Higgins (LA-03). The Senate passed it by unanimous consent.
Similarly, Rep. Jamie Raskin (MD-08) defended Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) texting with convicted sexual predator Epstein during a 2019 congressional hearing by suggesting that Epstein was just one of her random constituents at the time.
“They took a Democratic congresswoman to court for answering a phone call from her constituent, Jeffrey Epstein, in the middle of a hearing. And of course, I don’t think there’s a rule here against answering phone calls during a hearing,” Raskin insultingly proclaimed.

Although it was as pathetic as it sounds, something fascinating to learn during the debate over the Epstein legislation was the connection between Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) and Epstein.
As House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (KY-01) revealed, a Democratic consulting firm apparently solicited in 2013 that Epstein appear at a Jeffries, a.k.a. “Brooklyn’s Barack,” campaign fundraiser for a possible private meeting. This was five years after Epstein’s 2008 sex offense convictions:
And, unsurprisingly, Democrats have remained silent about their colleague’s coordination with Epstein.
Another email shows that Democratic fundraisers invited Epstein to an event or to meet privately with Hakeem Jeffries, as part of their 2013 effort to win the majority.
Hakeem Jeffries’ campaign therefore solicited money from Jeffrey Epstein. This is what we found in the latest batch of documents.

👀 Perhaps this is why House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries refuses to condemn Democratic Rep. Plaskett for his collusion with Jeffrey Epstein.👇 https://t.co/D2IsikPU0V

This made Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) wonder where Epstein and Jeffries met:

The Democratic minority leader in the House of Representatives has declared several times in recent weeks that “the American people simply deserve the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth” about the contents of the files, and yet…

In my opinion, this is one of those “be careful what you wish for” moments that Democrats are probably already regretting, and there will undoubtedly be more to come on this front. Stay tuned.
