I’m Rethinking My Upgrade Based on These 5 iPhone 17 Pro Max Rumors

I have always been on the regular size of the team with regard to the iPhone Pro models, even in the years when the larger Pro Max models have acquired exclusive features, such as the “Tetraprism” 5x Telephoto camera in the iPhone 15 Pro Max (which extended to the two models of the iPhone 16 Pro). Despite the larger screen size, the max has always seemed too large to be transported all day.

But a multitude of features and design modifications for the next iPhone 17 Pro Max make me weigh the benefits of adopting the largest Apple phone.

I know it may seem silly to think of the next iPhone models in the heat of summer, but here is the thing: September is Only two months oldThis means that this is now the moment when people are starting to think about fall budgets and if the iPhone to which they hang can spend one more year.

What I see so far is really very interested. Now, I look forward to September for more than a cooler weather and hot drinks. Here is an overview of some of the rumor features for the iPhone 17 Pro Max of which I am most curious.

Make the case to go bigger

The iPhone Pro Max models are reservoirs compared to the rest of the line – well, they are not in terms of the tenacity of the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 7 Pro, so maybe they are more like solid average SUVs. But they are notable for their larger screens, their greatest bodies and especially to have room for more of everything in an iPhone.

And this includes a larger battery. The Max models already have more battery space than other models, but the iPhone 17 Pro Max could end up being almost a thicker half-miletime, at 8.725 mm, according to a 9TO5MAC May post. Has anyone asked for a more large iPhone? In fact, yes, yes and yes.

Apple phone profile

The iPhone 17 Pro Max could become thicker.

Add the new adaptive power functionality in iOS 26, which uses AI to distribute energy more effectively when demand is high, and we could see an increase in daily use before looking for a charger. (Again, adaptive power could be a software bypass solution that could mean a longer lifespan using the same physical battery size.)

If you are already determined to transport a larger iPhone, a little more thickness and weight is not too shoulder.

The rear of the case of the iPhone 17 Pro should also discourage the Apple logo from its current perch. This does not seem to be a big functional change, but it should help appease people who choose to add a clear Magsafe case, because the logo will be centered in the Magsafe zone. You cannot say that Apple does not sweat the details of the design.

There are also rumors that the iPhone range will include a new color of sky blue, of which I have opinions.

Bring all the camera upgrades

We cannot talk about the case without mentioning the bump of the camera, which could become a larger camera island (or perhaps on the largest iPhone 17 Pro Max, it will look more like a camera continent) which extends over the width of the iPhone, according to Majin BU renders.

This extent may include a 48 -megapixel telephoto lens, which feels late for a high -level camera system. Admittedly, it will probably take additional measures to capture photos in the complete resolution of 48 megapixels, as is the case with the current main fusion camera in the iPhone 16 Pro models, where the images are “embedded” with several pixels grouped to improve the light collection capacity. But given the excellent results we have seen from the 48 -megapixel camera in current models – the iPhone 16th relies strongly on this resolution using its only back -to -back camera – extending it to the telephoto lens would certainly be a victory for photographers.

Will the layout and configuration of the cameras go against the iPhone 16 Pro indicated here in the new iPhone 17 Pro Max?

Speaking of resolution, a 24-megapixel front camera is expected, against 12 megapixels, so maybe my selfies will look better. More likely, it is a question of stimulating the next functionality of rumors.

Video recording makes a jump

The cameras on both sides will work with a double video recording using the integrated camera application, a boon to carry out interviews or make reaction videos where you want to see both sides of a conversation. Third -party applications have been able to have exploited this capacity for some time, but have not been available as an option by default.

Not as important for daily use, but interesting in terms of progression of the state of the art, the iPhone 17 Pro Max could support the video recording 8K, according to macrumors after reports that 8K was tested for the iPhone 16 Pro. The iPhone quickly turns into a production video camera, features such as 28 years later to personalized cameras built from the iPhone Tech in the F1 film.

An improved cooling system

The recording of the video in 4K resolution, much less 8K, is a demanding and eager task of power which leads to the accumulation of heat. In already hot environments, it can even overheat the iPhone and close it temporarily. Thus, the prospect of a new internal cooling architecture, while being invisible for iPhone owners, makes me hear a little.

According to Majin BU and others, the iPhone 17 Pro models will present a “steam chamber” cooling system. As the processor warms up, a small amount of liquid in the room evaporates and condenses in cooler areas, then goes back to the hot areas.

Wi-Fi 7 and Fast Cellular via a new Apple modem

It’s more geek and less obvious for daily phones owners, but it is also the genre. The iPhone 16th has shipped with Apple Cellular MoDem C1, Apple’s first HomeBrew cellular material that he tried to build in order to wean his dependence on Qualcomm, which provided modem equipment in previous iPhone models.

However, the C1 does not have a faster millimeter wave cellular network and does not support Wi-Fi 7, even if it is more conservative as to energy consumption (and still works well), an acceptable compromise for the budget phone of the Apple range.

C1 is Apple’s first cellular modem. We could see a C2 chip more capable in iPhone 17 pro models.

But for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, we are talking about the next professional models, and an iPhone Pro in 2025 cannot ship without the latest wireless technology. It would be more realistic to see Apple stick to Qualcomm for the PRO line than to include the C1 – but I suspect that a C2 arrives.

According to MacRumors, Wi-Fi 7 compatibility could be provided by a distinct dedicated chip designed by Apple.

These are not the only rumors of the iPhone 17 Pro that we are following, but at the moment, they are the ones who make me look at my calendar and that the wishes of September could happen a little more quickly.
