Portland joins global day of action to protest Iranian regime
PORTLAND, OregonKOIN) — Dozens of people gathered at Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland on Saturday to join a global day of action involving thousands of people around the world protesting the Iranian government.

Iranian citizens have been protesting their country’s regime for almost two months now.
“Thousands of Iranians, young people, children have been killed by the Islamic regime. And, unfortunately, the world has remained calm. And that is why we are in the streets,” said protester Gazelle Rahmani.

Saturday’s protest was organized to show international solidarity with Iranians’ struggle for freedom and human rights.
