Brian Burns brushes aside Giants’ defense hype: ‘We look great on paper, but we ain’t done s— yet’

The New York Giants have gone their off -season to build one of the most formidable defensive groups in football, but the Rusher Star Pass Brian Burns ensures that the Giants do not listen to the whole of media.
Burns spoke at the camp this week of excitement around defensive additions this year in New York, and he clearly indicated that it is on the players to go out and respect this overhaul – and that they could not expect it to happen.
“Everyone feels encouraged and excited at the start of the season,” said Burns. “At the same time, we look great on paper, but we are not doing shit yet, you understand? So, everything is on us. We can take this as far as we want to go. I mean, everything seems well with the names we have and the potential and that, but until we put this shit to dab, it is not really to speak.”
The defensive platform Dexter Lawrence is anchor in the middle of the line, the veteran Roy Robertson-Harris joining the three men’s front this season. Next to them will be one of the best passing groups in the league while the first choice of draft Abdul Carter joins Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux. Bobby Okereke has become one of the best second-hand seconds in the league, and Jevon Holland security and the Paulsen Adebo corner signed in the secondary to reinforce the background.

The giants committed a ton of money to this defense, with the expectation that this will open the way to victories. As for the way they come to the point where they can live up to these high expectations, Burns said that the formula for a large defense was simple.
“Confidence. Trust,” said Burns. “Being able to trust the man next to me and being really able to know and depend, he will do his job and I know what he is going to do.”
This is what the accent is put in the camp, builds this confidence through the representatives, so when it happens “time to obtain money”, as Burns says, they know that everyone will do their job which will allow them to prosper as a pressure under pressure.
Time will tell us if this Giant group becomes the best defense of the League in 2025, but if nothing else burns tries to do their part to drive them in the right direction and prevent them from becoming too comfortable with the conversation around them.
