Inside Biden confidante Steve Ricchetti’s ‘combative’ interview in House probe

A member of investigators from the supervisory committee for former president Joe Biden sat with investigators from the Chamber’s supervisory committee for an interview with behind Clos Marathon who lasted more than eight hours on Wednesday.
Steve Ricchetti, who was advisable to the president during the four years of Biden’s mandate, was described as “combative and defensive” at his voluntary meeting, a familiar source with the sitdown at Fox News Digital.
The source described Ricchetti as causing doubts about Biden’s mental acuity, although he “admitted that they all knew that the age of President Biden was a problem and that there was the fact as a political matter,” they said.
“Ricchetti said that he thought that President Biden had the capacity to be president and that he was performing the president’s ability every day. He thinks that Joe Biden is able to be president today and that he could have won in 2024,” the source told Fox News Digital.

Ricchetti, a long-standing democrat agent and lobbyist, began working for Biden in March 2012 when he was appointed adviser to the vice-president under former president Barack Obama. He was raised to be the chief of staff of Biden in December 2013.
He has praised his proximity to Biden in the past 13 years, said the source, and also described having personal relations with former First Lady Jill Biden and Hunter Biden.
Ricchetti’s own children were also close to the White House during Biden’s mandate – at least three of them had a job in the democratic administration at one point.

Ricchetti is the seventh ex-organic assistant to come, but just the fourth to appear in voluntary terms. The former doctor of the White House Kevin O’Connor and the former assistants of the White House Annie Tomasini and Anthony Bernal all pleaded the fifth amendment to avoid answering the questions.
Ricchetti told investigators that he was not involved in the letters of physical assessment of O’Connor for Biden, “but he had conversations with senior executives on how to communicate and present the physical assessment of President Biden,” the source told Fox News Digital.
He also defended the frequent baffles of Biden, describing them as “current errors” that anyone could make of, said the source.
“He said that the frequency of these errors had not increased since Joe Biden was vice-president,” said the source.

The majority of interrogations during the eight -hour session came from the Republicans – the source said that Democrats were frequently trying to change the subject to discuss President Donald Trump.
Ricchetti did not say anything to the journalists during the release of the meeting on Wednesday evening.
No legislator was present for the sitdown, as is generally the case with such transcribed interviews.
Fox News Digital contacted Ricchetti lawyer to comment but did not hear at the time of the press.
