Obese people sign up for the camps, but the rules make it difficult for them to leave.

Details of the grueling installation were revealed on social media by an Australian woman, currently locked up in a camp.

The 28-year-old who goes by @eggeats on Instagram documented her four-week stay which cost $1,000 (£742).

Videos posted on his page show a daily routine including four hours of exercise starting with a group aerobics class.

We aggregate BMI for the BIS: the scores indicate we are obese but we are simply round.

Next comes a group typing class and a second aerobics session before a high-energy spinning class.

Three carefully measured meals are served on trays throughout the day.

Breakfast is light, with larger lunch portions including braised duck, sautéed vegetables and raw carrots.

Upon entry, everyone must give up “forbidden” foods, such as instant ramen noodles as well as dried and fried snacks.

She also revealed that participants cannot leave the premises without “good reason”.

The images show the complex surrounded by high concrete walls, steel gates and electrical cables.

And the entry and exit points are monitored by security guards.

Lighter elements of the ‘big jail’ were also revealed, including daily downtime and Sunday rest – up to an evening exercise class.

While participants sleep together five people per room, each person is assigned their own space with a personal desk and wardrobe.

The accommodation also includes an outdoor toilet, a high-pressure shower and a squat toilet.

In another clip, the content creator explained that the program accepts anyone from all over the world.

Participants do not necessarily need to speak Mandarin or Cantonese.

The woman revealed that she lost 2.25kg in seven days and lost 14kg on day 14.

Recommending the plan, she said: “I’ve made a lot of friends, everyone is Good and without judgment because we all have the same goal: LOSE FAT! »

Two-week camp options are available, but the team encourages a 28-day plan for the best results.

The camps have emerged as part of a network of commercial or government weight-loss “prison” sites as China seeks to solve its growing obesity problem.

They are run in converted facilities or campuses across the country.

The goal is to encourage significant weight loss in adults and children, especially those who have given up on fad diets and weight management products.
