Cyberpunk 2077 Mac players get dynamic presets that aren’t possible on a PC

After five long years, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate is finally available for the Mac today, several months after Apple teased Mac players during the M4 MacBook Pro revelation in October. (In fact, Apple declared in the presentation that the game arrives in the “early” part of 2025, but better late than never.)
Apple also said at the time that Cyberpunk 2077 was “one of the most demanding and most complex games ever created” and to help players acquire the best experience, CD Projekt Red has included what it calls “for this Mac” of presets which dynamically adjust its parameters for “an optimal balance between visual quality and performance”. With the presets, the more powerful the Mac is, the higher the parameters.
The minimum requirements for Cyberpunk 2077 are a Mac of the M1 series with at least 16 GB of RAM performing MacOS 15.5 Sequoia or later. The older the chip, the lower the resolution of the game. For example, M1 Macs will play the game at 1440 by 900 or 1600 by 900 resolution at 30 IPS, while an M3 Ultra Mac executes Cyberpunk 2077 at 2294 per 1432 or 2560 per 1440 resolution at 60 IPS.
CD Projekt Red Notes, however, that the presets do not activate the tracing of the shelves, which is only available on Mac M3 and M4. The users of these Macs will have to manually activate the tracing of the shelves in the graphic settings.
Regarding storage, Mac App Store buyers will have to allocate 159 GB for the game (which is $ 83 in the United States) with “all the voices included”, while GOG customers, Epic Games Store or Steam will only need 92 GB. So, if you have a Mac with 256 GB of storage, you will need a fast external reader.
