Don’t Cling to Your Old Job After Being Promoted

As a leader, when you are promoted, the lines between the old and new roles can easily blur. You were promoted because you excelled at your previous job, and giving up that job can be uncomfortable, almost like giving up part of your professional identity. But true advancement requires intentionally moving to a new level of leadership, not dual-tasking.
