Iran welcomes Gaza deal, warns against broken Israeli promises
Iran welcomed the agreement to end the conflict in Gaza, but at the same time warned of a possible violation of Israeli commitments.
“Tehran supports any initiative that ends the genocide, ensures the complete withdrawal of occupying forces and allows humanitarian aid,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
However, all parties involved must remain vigilant against Israel’s deception and unreliability, the ministry said, according to the ISNA news agency.

Tehran has also stressed that it is the responsibility of the international community to hold Israel accountable for what it considers war crimes and to end what it sees as decades of impunity.
Support for Palestinians and militant groups such as Hamas is a central part of Iran’s foreign policy doctrine.
Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Tehran has not recognized Israel as a state and avoids mentioning it by name, always referring to it as the “Zionist regime.”
