Iranians Do the ‘Trump Dance’ to Thank President for Taking out Ayatollah Khamenei

Iranians around the world are sharing videos of themselves doing President Donald Trump’s famous dance to thank him for eliminating Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
“I feel what I felt when the Berlin Wall fell,” reacted one social media user.
Video footage showing Iranians performing the president’s signature “Trump dance” has gone viral on social media following Saturday’s deadly airstrikes against senior officials in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The celebratory dance notably features Village People’s 1978 hit “YMCA,” with Iranians imitating Trump’s high-pitched, rhythmic arm movements that have become a staple of presidential rallies.
“I’m Iranian and this is the happiest day of my life,” a doctoral student of Iranian origin wrote in an X-post, sharing a video of herself dancing to the song in a living room while clapping.
“The dictator, the killer, Ali Khamenei is dead,” she added in her post, which has garnered more than 30 million views as of this writing Tuesday morning.

Additional footage shows crowds of people doing the Trump dance in public squares while chanting “USA! and waving the pre-1979 Lion and Sun flag – Iran’s national emblem before the Islamic Revolution.

As Iranians celebrate Ayatollah Khamenei’s death, criticism mounts the New York Times for his obituary of the tyrant, giving him a title seemingly more appropriate for a statesman than for a dictator and terrorist.
