The Pixel 9 Pro is the newest and highest-end model in the Pixel lineup, and right now the unlocked 128GB Google Pixel 9 Pro is discounted to $699 (originally $999). This is the second lowest price ever on Amazon, according to price trackers. The 1TB version is also offered at a record price of $982.40 (originally $1,499), making it the best deal if you want to upgrade storage.
The Pixel 9 Pro is the middle option, sandwiched between the cheaper Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The Pixel 9 Pro comes with 16GB of RAM, starts with 128GB of memory storage, a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, and Android 14 operating system. As Lifehacker Deputy Technical Editor Michelle Ehrhardt explains in her article Pixel 9 Pro reviewThe phone’s hardware is the best Google has made so far, but its AI features still have hiccups. However, AI capabilities will continue to improve over time; The most important thing to do is the material.
Battery life can last around 18 hours and 40 minutes, according to Michelle’s review (she watched YouTube videos all the time). The main camera features a 50 MP shooter, a 48 MP ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field of view, and a 48 MP telephoto lens with 30x Super Res zoom.
What do you think of it so far?
If you own the Pixel 8 Pro, you may not notice a huge upgrade in this version. However, if you’re upgrading from an older version or switching from a non-Pixel phone, the 9 Pro has a lot to like. One of my favorite things about Pixel phones is the continued support for many years. My Pixel 6A still receives all updates and tons of AI features this makes the phone feel fresh several years later, with the latest ones dropping last month. With the Pixel 9 Pro, you’ll get a quality phone with software updates for a while (as long as seven years).
