The Israeli military says it has launched “a large-scale wave of strikes” on Tehran.
The airstrikes are targeting the “regime’s infrastructure” in the capital city, the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement, adding that more detail would be made available at a later point.
Residents of Tehran were also reporting heavy explosions on Tuesday afternoon.
