Israel should begin Gaza reconstruction, even before last hostage returns
“Instead of saying ‘no, no, no’ to the clauses, Israel should say ‘yes’ and then specify what needs to be done,” Marom told Ynet.
Former Israeli Navy commander Maj.-Gen. (res.) Eliezer “Chayni” Marom said Israel should begin rebuilding Gaza east of the Yellow Line, even before the return of Ran Gvili’s remains, in an interview with Ynet on Thursday.
“Instead of saying ‘no, no, no’ to the clauses, Israel should say ‘yes’ and then specify what needs to be done,” he told the outlet. “The solution is to move the area from the Yellow Line east to the perimeter and start a rehabilitation process there with the Americans, even before Ran Gvili returns.”
In addition to being the former navy commander, Marom is the project manager for the rehabilitation of the North.
This is a developing story.
