The arrest came after protesters entered Cities Church in St. Paul on Sunday, where David Easterwood, who heads the Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office in St. Paul, also serves as pastor. Protesters disrupted service by chanting “ICE out” and “Justice for Renee Bonne.”

The disruption quickly went viral among the MAGAverse and the Trump administration promised to press charges, despite turning a blind eye to ICE and the Border Patrol. violence against Christian clergy in previous incidents. Vice President JD Vance earlier Thursday accused the demonstrators of Saint-Paul to scare the “little children”.

“These people are going to be sent to prison for as long as we have the power to do so. We’re going to do everything we can to enforce the law,” Vance said during a visit to Toledo, Ohio, and plans to travel to Minnesota later in the day.

FBI Director Kash Patel said in an X post that Allen was charged under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, a law designed to prevent people from intimidating or interfering with anyone trying to participate in a service at a religious center or get help at a reproductive health clinic.

On Tuesday, Levy Armstrong called for Easterwood’s resignation.

“You cannot lead a congregation while leading an agency whose actions have cost lives and sowed fear in our communities,” Levy Armstrong said. “When officials protect armed officers, repeatedly deny serious investigation into killings like Renee Good’s, and signal that they can prosecute peaceful protesters and journalists, that’s not justice, it’s intimidation.
