My favorite e-reader benefits from a nice price drop
I love the Kobo Libra color! Its 7-inch color screen makes it portable and its asymmetrical design makes it the most ergonomic e-reader I’ve had in my hands (after the Kindle Oasis).
You also get 32GB of storage, a very clean and easy-to-use interface, and if you don’t want to spend money buying ebooks, you can use the built-in OverDrive app to borrow from a public library that supports the platform (at present, many Australian public libraries do). Instapaper replaced the old Pocket app, but not everyone will need it, but it’s nice to have. Google Drive and Dropbox connectivity are also integrated.
Its writing features add to its value, but note that you’ll need to purchase the Kobo Stylus 2 separately. Despite this, I think the Kobo Libra Color is worth every penny for an avid reader – it’s my pick for the best e-reader available today.
And it’s currently only AU$9 more than the base Kindle Coloursoft model, so you know your money is gone here.

Cheap as chips: a robot vacuum cleaner for only AU$248
It’s more than just a robot vacuum because it can also clean. And getting a dual-use device like this for such a low cost represents fantastic value for money.
There are compromises, however.
Firstly, the 8000Pa of suction isn’t best in class, so if you have mostly carpets at home, I wouldn’t recommend this one. Plus, you won’t need a mop, right? The other missing feature is the self-draining dock: you’ll have to clean the bin and refill the water tank yourself, but that’s a small price to pay for such an affordable robovac.
You still have anti-fall sensors in case the robot encounters stairs, it will automatically avoid carpets when cleaning and has a clearance threshold of up to 20mm. Not bad for not a lot of money, eh?
Ecovacs Deebot N20: AU$749 AU$248 on Amazon
If you want the self-emptying base station, it will cost you more. The Deebot N90 Plus costs just AU$449 for the black variant.
