I’ve Tried Huawei’s Watch GT 6 Pro, and It’s a Great Apple Watch Alternative

Due to the restrictions in progress, Huawei does not officially sell its products in the United States. It’s a shame, because the company brings an excellent Apple Watch Series 11 alternative to the rest of the world, where it can sell its devices. The latest GT 6 Pro watch is a solid solid smartwatch promising deep health and sporting monitoring as well as a high battery life. These features are all wrapped in a premium design.
I use the watch around my house in Edinburgh, in Scotland, for a few days, and I must say that I like it. I am generally not really a smartwatch user, but I enjoyed having it on my wrist this week, and I will probably continue to use it and see how I get along.
The Watch GT 6 Pro is on sale in the United Kingdom for £ 329, the basic model from £ 229 more affordable. Then there is the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2, which presents most of the same tracking features, as well as an additional diving technology – including the possibility of being brought to depths of 150 meters and sending messages to other Watch Ultimate 2 models using Sonar. The Ultimate 2 will cost much more, but the exact prices were not available at the time of writing. For reference, this price of £ 329 is transformed into $ 449.
The body and the telescope have an angular design that I like.
There are several reasons why I liked to use the GT 6 Pro so far, so let’s take a closer look.
Comfortable design
First and foremost, it is really comfortable to wear. The rubber strap that came with it is very soft, which allows it to form naturally on my wrist, and its circular 46 mm display is not that big to feel difficult. Often, I did not wear a watch simply because I don’t like the sensation, but I found that it was physically lively.

Except in bed, it’s. I always despise to wear anything on my wrists when I try to sleep – I even put my wedding ring on my bedside table in bed because I find it offset. This is a problem for me and watch it because it means that I have to give up all kinds of sleep analysis. Sleep monitoring, as on most smart watches, is an important part of its function. Maybe one day I will find a laptop that I can wear in bed.
The rubber strap makes it comfortable to wear.
Health and fitness monitoring
Speaking of follow -up, the watch can follow a wide variety of data points to help you achieve your fitness goals or simply maintain a healthy lifestyle. In addition to the usual heart rate and PAS counters, it will follow SP02, the skin temperature and an CE certified pulse -pulse analysis function.
Huawei boasts that the GT 6 Pro has new cycling monitoring measures, including the monitoring of degraded in real time and a virtual food metric, which, according to society, is the first time that such a functionality has been seen on an intelligent watch. It also has a deeper ski follow -up (including automatic detection of ski lifts) and deeper golf measurements for those of you who like to spend your time hitting balls with clubs on lawn sections.
Huawei believes that he has considerably improved GPS accuracy for better monitoring of your racing lanes, while his new wheelchair mode counts wheels instead of steps and different algorithms are used to follow the calories burned.
The display is shiny enough to be used outside.
I have not yet used health monitoring features, so I cannot comment on how they behave against the Apple Watch or any other device. In fact, the intelligent functionality that I liked to use the most is simply to be able to display incoming notifications on my iPhone. It is a simple task, of course, but it is the main reason why I like to wear a smartwatch on an ordinary analog watch.
Speaking of this, the watch will work with iOS or Android. I paid it easily with my iPhone 16 PRO using a beta version of the Huawei Health application, which offers a dashboard for all your measurements and workouts collected as you do it. What I did not do.
Battery life
Huawei believes that the GT 6 Pro will obtain up to 21 days of battery in “Lite” mode or approximately 12 days of typical use. This is a wild affirmation and which goes far, even the Apple Watch Series 11 series, which will probably take place after about a day and a half of regular use.
In fact, I believe that the claim, however – I have used the first generation watch of Huawei Ultimate for some time (more like an intelligent watch than as a fitness tracker), and its battery hardly lasts more than a week between the loads. However, 12 days is a great claim, and I will be delighted to test it when I spend more time with the watch.
