JD Vance Mocks Minnesota Protesters Outside His Supposed Hotel
Vice President JD Vance responded to a video on Friday that appeared to show protesters banging pots and pans outside a Minneapolis, Minnesota, hotel where they apparently thought Vance would be staying.

The vice president responded with a “scream of laughter” emoji to the replay of the video.

“Minneapolis liberals are currently standing outside a hotel in -15 degree weather, banging pots and playing instruments to keep JD Vance from sleeping inside his hotel,” posted X user Johnny Maga. “Little do they know, JD Vance came back to DC 5 hours ago.”
Vance spoke at a meeting between business leaders, law enforcement and immigration officials in Minneapolis on Thursday, Fox 9 reported. He said Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were doing an “incredible job” and accused the media of “lying about the work they do every day.”
He also advised protesters to “peacefully” exercise their first amendment rights, the outlet reported.
“If you assault a law enforcement officer, the Trump administration will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law,” he warned. (RELATED: How An Anonymous Antifa Blog Terrorizes ICE Agents)
Minnesota has faced protests following the fatal shooting of Renee Good, who allegedly tried to use her car as a weapon against an ICE agent on January 7.
Since then, violent protests have gripped the city of Minneapolis and other parts of Minnesota. Protesters demand ICE agents leave town.
Vance also responded to reports accusing ICE agents of arresting a 5-year-old in Columbia Heights, Minnesota.
“I found out that the 5-year-old had not been arrested, but his father was an illegal alien and when they went to arrest him, his father ran away,” Vance said.
“What are they supposed to do? Let a 5-year-old freeze to death? Not arrest an illegal alien? If the argument is that you can’t arrest people who have violated federal laws because they have children, then every parent is going to get total immunity. That makes no sense,” he said.
