Gather ’round, class. Jennifer Lawrence is about to demonstrate how much a bag can transform an outfit.
In late August, Lawrence stepped out in an outfit made up of seasonless basics, pairing an airy black midiskirt with an untucked white T-shirt and a single-breasted Dissh blazer. Accessorizing the look with a pair of dainty, if unexpected, ballet flats and a stack of ankle bracelets, she finished everything off with a navy Dior logo bag that gave the nonchalant look a decidedly feminine touch.
Two weeks later, however, she wore the same exact outfit with a minor adjustment that completely changed its aesthetic. On September 3, Lawrence was photographed hailing a cab in a nearly identical combination of basics—and it wasn’t the pointed-toed flats that switched up the vibe. Instead, it was her Loewe Medium Squeeze bag in the shade Oak, which retails for $5,200 and is made of Nappa lambskin with an adjustable gold chain.
