Four DETA prospects are getting closer to the majors.

Jett Williams, Jonah Tong, Carson Benge and Ryan Clifford were all promoted on Monday in Triple-A Syracuse. The MLB pipeline is each ranked in the seven main food prospects.

Williams, a midfielder and defensive players in the center, is considered to be the n ° 1 of the food prospect. The 21-year-old hit. 281 with 10 circuits, an OPS of 0.867 and 32 bases stolen in 96 games with Double-A Binghamton this year.

The Williams which jumps straight was the choice of dishes in the first round in 2022.

Tong, 22, is the best hope of pitching dishes and their perspective n ° 2 overall. The right-hander went 8-5 with an MPM of 1.59 and 162 stick withdraws in 102 rounds on 20 Double-A departures.

Benge, a left-wing outfall and prospect No. 4 of the dishes, struck. 317 with eight circuits and an OPS of .978 in 32 games with Double-A after being promoted in June.

Last year, the 22 -year -old increase was the quick choice of dishes.

And Clifford, a voltiseur and a first goal player. The dishes acquired Clifford in the 2023 trade which sent Justin Verlander to Houston.

Tong, in particular, has generated considerable excitement. The choice of seventh round of 2022 leads minors with withdrawal to the stick and launched five heats on Sunday against Somerset, the Double-A of Yankees subsidiary.

“Standing at 6 feet 1, Tong can look like the second coming of Tim Lécecum with its deceptive delivery and a good extension”, reads the MLB Pipeline screening ratio on Tong. “Its quick ball only shows the average speed in the beach of 91-94 MPH, but it plays well above that with a vertical break induced by the elite.”

Tong and Benge both participated in the All-Star Futures match in Atlanta last month.

Six of the seven best hopes of the dishes are now in Triple-A, the newly called quartet joining the starters on the right Nolan McLean (n ° 3) and Brandon SPROAT (n ° 5).

SPROAT spent the whole season in Triple-A, by launching an MPM of 4.10 in 22 departures.

McLean, on the other hand, was promoted to triple-a in May and has an MPM of 2.78 in 16 appearances, including 13 departures, at this level.

Fans of dishes have become more and more eager for SProat and McLean, both of 24 years old, to come to the majors, especially since the MLB staff had trouble giving the team the duration in recent months. On Sunday, the dishes (63-55) underwent their seventh consecutive defeat and their 11th in their last 12 games.

But last week, the president of baseball operations, David Stearns, explained why SProat and McLean had not been called.

“It is always a combination of when, on development, these guys are ready, and also when there is the need and how to adapt it to the list,” said Stearns.

“We can get to the point where we decide that it is the best thing to do to bring them or both here, but we are not yet at that time.”

Tuesday evening, Triple-A Syracuse begins a Homestand of six games against Indianapolis, the Triple-A subsidiary of Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday evening.
