This weekend sees a great sale on the DJI Mini 4K drone for a limited time. Save 20% on this drone featuring a 3-axis gimbal and the ability to capture UHD footage in winds up to 23 mph. Brushless motors can reach altitudes of up to 4,000 meters.
The DJI mini is also beginner-friendly with features like one-key takeoff and landing (saving you from many common manual arrival and departure accidents). The mini also features GPS Return to Home, which works like a boomerang, coming back to you up to 10km away. The 10 km figure was measured in a completely clear environment without buildings, trees or bad weather obstructing the signal. This is the absolute maximum distance your drone can travel before losing connection, transmission, and the ability to return to you. To be safe, DJI says the connection range is more like 1.5 to 3 km in high obstacle urban areas and 3 to 6 km in medium obstacle areas like suburbs.

The DJI mini 4K is light enough to not require FAA registration. The device also offers “Intelligent Quickshots” which perform more advanced shots on its own, such as Helix and Circle shots. This gives you the ability to capture professional-quality images without a ton of experience.
