Jimmy Kimmel return sparks mixed reactions from conservatives, liberals

Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet, a close friend of Charlie Kirk, criticized Disney’s decision to allow Jimmy Kimmel to return to his late evening show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Disney, who has ABC, announced on Monday that after “thoughtful conversations” with Kimmel, the show would return after almost a week of the end.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was withdrawn last Wednesday after Kimmel’s remarks on the alleged murderer of the founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, aroused indignation and a warning from the Federal Commission Commission (FCC).

Disney decided to suspend the program after two major affiliation owners have drawn Kimmel from their stations, and Kimmel would have declared to the leaders that he would not apologize for his comments.

The executive producer of “The Charlie Kirk Show”, Andrew Kolve, was one of those who did not agree with Disney’s decision.

“Disney and ABC Caving and allowing Kimmell [sic] Back on the antenna is not surprising, but it is their error to make. Nextstar [sic] And Sinclair does not have to make the same choice, “wrote Kolvet on X.

The Liberals celebrated the decision on social networks after several attacks and calls to boycott Disney in recent days.

“Jimmy Kimmel returns on Tuesday evening. I assume that it takes a bleeding billions of dollars to force the CEOs of companies to resist fascism. A warning that affects other companies. Power to the people!” Television producer Steven S. Deknight wrote.

“Thank you to everyone except @brendancarrfcc. This is a victory for freedom of expression everywhere,” wrote Governor Gavin Newsom, D-Calif.

Democratic activist Harry Sisson wrote: “Breaking: Jimmy Kimmel’s show will return on September 23! Disney and ABC were terrified by the boycotts and they gave in to the people. Your voice is effective. Huge victory!”

“Jimmy Kimmel is back on the air, but he should never have been kidnapped in the first place. Journalists, the end of evening hosts, universities and companies deserve the freedom to do their work without fear of reprisals of the President. I call a surveillance audience in the armament of President Carr Ray Luján of FCC and censorship,” wrote the Sen-Mexico Democrat Mexico, Ben Ray Luján.

The representative of Arizona, Yassamin Ansari, wrote: “Jimmy Kimmel is back! Last week, I led more than 115 Democrats on a resolution with @jimmykimmel and condemning the assault on the Trump regime against freedom of expression. Disney has reversed the course – and that is proof that when we fight, organize, we are winning.”

The conservatives, on the other hand, expressed their frustration with regard to the news and laughed at the announcement after left -wing commentators and even legislators claiming that Kimmel’s suspension was a form of government fascism.

“The worst fascism of all time,” joked the editor -in -chief of the spectator, Stephen Miller.

Doug Powers of Twitchy commented: “Kimmel’s comments were not” unhappy and insensitive “, they were flat lies on the affiliation of who pulled Kirk. But again, Kimmel who goes back to the air helps to prove that Trump is the worst dictator of all time.”

“So Kimmel returns. They have reached their goal. Be a curator in Hollywood, however, and you will never work,” wrote actor Marsden.

Fox News Digital contacted the White House to comment.

Before Disney’s announcement, hundreds of demonstrators demonstrated outside the Disney location in Burbank, California, to demand that Disney put “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Back on the antenna last week. The demonstrators also gathered in front of Kimmel’s studio on Hollywood Boulevard on Thursday, where they were recorded while singing: “ABC folded the knee! No at the FCC!”

Although some conservative commentators have celebrated Kimmel’s suspension, others have expressed their prudence as to the potential surpassing of the government.
