Jimmy Kimmel tells Stephen Colbert exactly how he found out he was being taken off air

Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert exchanged programs on Tuesday, with Colbert appearing as a guest in the Kimmel and Vice Versa show.
Since it was the first interview that Kimmel made since his program was “indefinitely suspended”, then reinstated a week later, Colbert was eager to know what happened the day Kimmel discovered. In the clip above, Kimmel breaks down any step by step, having to make a call from ABC in the bathroom (“the only private place to go” in his office) to his daughter telling him “I can sell my Labubus” after announcing the news to his family.
The craziest detail? After discovering the suspension, the staff had to stay back and pretend to be the audience for a performance by Howard Jones – who played his song “Things can get better”.
