Joey Logano Provides Update On NASCAR Retirement Ahead Of 600th Cup Series Start

The Penske Joey Logano team driver made his 600th start in Nascar on Sunday to Dover Motor Speedway, which is only the 33rd driver in the history of the race series to reach the milestone.
Since 2008, Logano has won 37 races, reached 169 TOP-CINQ, 292 TOP-10 and 32 POLE positions.
He is also champion of the Triple Cup series. Despite the race at 35, Logano does not show any signs of slowdown on the track.
The reality of the modern athlete indicates that his career mortality is looming as a greater threat after each race.

Before his historic start, Logano opened and provided details on his state of mind entering the second half of his 30th anniversary.
“As soon as I have the impression of being a brake on the team and I no longer bring anything to the table, whether on the race track or out of the racetrack, that’s what I need to go away,” Logano told Bob Pockrass.
“Because at that time, I want to see Roger Penske and his racing team and the people who are successful. I care about it. I want to be a way to contribute to it.
“This is what I want from myself, that’s what I expected if I was Roger Penske, I would expect an employee, especially [one that] has been there for as long as I have been there.
“There is something [that] Changes at some point, but at the moment I still feel so fresh as ever, I feel like never lively, I am motivated as much as ever, I mean that I always care, right? I am always emotional about things that show me that I care about it. “”
Logano ranks 10th this season for the Cup series, winning a victory in Texas.
He continues net points and results for Penske, turns out to be a reliable pair of hands that can win victories.
There is also a larger target for Logano, which broke the Ricky Rudd record from 797 consecutive departures from the NASCAR CUP series.
“I thought about it and I think I can do it,” he told Nascar.
“I need to start by staying healthy and not miss a race. I am the only one who can do it now. Why not go?”
If he captured the record, he should run in his forties, but given his current exceptional state, Logano could be ready to make even more history.
