NYT Connections TODAY (game n ° 816) – Answers
The answers to today’s connections, the game # 816, are…
- Yellow: what you might see on a Christmas tree Angel, candy rod, string lights, garlands
- Green: cleaning, as a photograph Airbrush, fix, photoshop, retouching
- Blue: French food words Cornichon, pain, grapefruit, vinaigrette
- Violet: things with cells Honeycomb, body, solar panel, spreadsheet
- My note: Hard
- My score: 1 error
My mistake today came to think that Pamperemousse, Vinagrette, Honeycomb and Cornichon were a kind of salad recipe. Not a good, I think you agree.
Fortunately, my wild stab in the dark gave me an “outside” and I was able to finish the connections today – a good thing too, because I could not see links between a solar panel and a spreadsheet.
During this time, what you might see on a Christmas tree was quite simple, with the only thing that holds me the feeling that it is too early to think about Christmas.
Responsible for yesterday NYT connections (Wednesday September 3, match # 815)
- Yellow: Start Birth, Aube, Genesis, Start
- Green: join Leap, combine, merge, get married
- Blue: abbreviations linked to television in the 80s Alf, MTV, NES, VHS
- Violet: May __Day, flower, fly, post
What is NYT connections?
Nyt Connections is one of the many increasingly popular puns produced by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four elements that share something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is easy, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and generally very difficult.
On the positive side, you do not technically need to resolve the last, because you can respond to it by an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you a little breathing margin.
However, it is a little more involved than something like Wordle, and there are a lot of opportunities so that the game makes you trip with towers. For example, pay attention to homophones and other word games that could disguise the answers.
It is playable for free via the NYT games site on the desktop or mobile.
