I am a sweaty guy – it’s just who I am. This summer, my father’s birthday gift saved my sheets, which would otherwise suffer from the implacable heat waves that have grasped Brooklyn lately.

This popular Globe fan is also a huge success among students. My university cousins all say that it is a favorite in dormitories, and I can see why. It is calm, comes with a remote control and does not take up much space.

At Amazon, Price Gougers increases the prices of this fan up to $ 69.99, a little higher than the retail price of $ 49.99. But we don’t shop on Amazon today.

The fan can be adjusted vertically and horizontally, allowing you to direct the air exactly where you want. The oscillating also creates a constant flow throughout the room, and you can cycle between three speeds. There is an additional breeze adjustment which is supposed to simulate the variable speed of the wind. I found that this parameter is pleasant but not particularly cooled, but I could see it useful if you just want to feel fresh air on your face.

Additional features include a remote control and timer feature, which will automatically close the fan after a defined period of time. I found it surprisingly powerful given its compact size and its silent operation. I can leave the fan during online meetings, while my air conditioner creates a distracting noise.
