If there is someone throughout America, in any corner of the world that should be able to rest in peace, it is Martin Luther King Jr.

But they won’t leave him.

Who are they?

They Are those who claim that they have always loved King, even if they try to demolish his inheritance of civil rights in each turn.

They Are those who can cite a line of hundreds of speeches that King pronounced on injustice, poverty, war and non-violence and claim that it was against positive action, the diversity of the workplace and all that seeks to level a historically unequal playground.

They Are those who are delighted with any clue to a lack of a moral character, as if the movement he built with Jesse Jackson, Ralph Abernathy, Diane Nash, Coretta Scott King, John Lewis, Andrew Young and thousands of unnamed demonstrators and riders of freedom were like a sort of fragile janga game that would be with the abolition of one stick.

They are those who – on the right this minute – try to dig King out of the grave and murder him again.

This is how King’s own daughter said it last week after the Trump administration published thousands of files on King’s assassination in 1968.

Bernice King, the youngest child of the Leader of Civil Rights killed and CEO of the King Center of Atlanta, had only three words on social networks for President Trump after the publication of the files.

“Now do Epstein.”

The challenge, accompanied by a photo of his father giving what seems to be a look at the eyes, was an obvious twitter mockery among Trump calls to publish government files related to disgrace, an alleged sexual trafficker and the punctual knowledge of Trump Jeffrey Epstein.

But the heritage goalkeeper had much more to say in an opinion play to Vanity Fair who mentioned “comments, cruelty and controversy” that she said that she and her family continue to navigate.

Bernice King was only 5 years old when a rifle bullet broke her father’s jaw, cut his tie, torn his spinal cord and knocked out with one of his shoes while he was standing on the balcony of a motel from Memphis.

“While my brothers and sisters and I grew up without father, we were often called back that he had been murdered while seeking to make the world better,” wrote Bernice King, noting subsequent attacks against her character.

“Our mother, Coretta Scott King, prepared us for these repeated attempts, saying:” They continue to try to murder your father again and again. »»

Bernice King also reminded the public how the death of the martyr had an impact on her family.

“His tragic death was an extremely personal sorrow-a devastating loss for his wife, his children and the granddaughter he has never met-an absence that our family has endured for over 57 years,” she said in a statement with her brother, Martin Luther King III. “We ask those who engage with the release of these files to do so with empathy, restraint and respect for our family’s continuous grief.”

Good luck with that.

The time of the version suggests something else.

“We must be clear about the fact that Trump who publishes the assassination files MLK does not concern transparency or justice,” said Reverend Al Sharpton, president of the National Action Network. “It is a desperate attempt to distract the people of the Fire Storm engulfing Trump on Epstein files and the public of his credibility among the Maga base.

He said that King’s inheritance “will not be armed to serve Trump’s cynical agenda”.

Last year, Trump almost suffered King’s fate when a killer’s ball touched his right ear during a campaign rally.

He should be happy that the government does not publish assassination files about it.
