Karoline Leavitt Weighs in on Naked Bike Ride Protest in Portland That Didn’t End Well – RedState
We’d probably be remiss if we didn’t report on this naked bike protest we have said it would take place in Portland. It is an annual event that usually takes place in the summer. However, they organized one on Sunday, calling it an “emergency” run to protest ICE and the National Guard’s deployment in the city.
“Joy is a form of protest. Being together in mutual respect and kindness is a form of protest,” race organizers said on Instagram. “It’s up to you how much or how little you wear.”
I do, however, have a question. How is it “respectful” to your fellow citizens if they are assaulted by the gaze of a large number of ugly and naked people? Aren’t there children in the street?
And frankly, I didn’t see the “joy”.

This happened on Sunday, accompanied by some rain. The local station covered up the nudity in this clip.
Now, I won’t torture you with a full view of the participants. I’ll give you fair warning – you can check this out here by Jorge Ventura and here by Post Millennial’s Katie Daviscourt. Luckily, most seemed to be clothed in some way, but there were still many who were naked.
They even had a die-in on Burnside Bridge, with many naked people lying in the road.
So what did they manage to do? Did ICE back down and say it was giving up, that it would no longer enforce the law after this stunning confrontation? Were they just overwhelmed by the “joy” of it all?
Surprisingly, no. ICE is still operational in Portland – federal authorities have not been stopped by this action. ICE agents might need eye bleach or counseling after seeing radical leftists in their birthday suits. But all the left has done with this is expose its flaws, to paraphrase what David Niven said at the 1974 Oscars when a streaker ran across the stage. Oddly enough, riding naked doesn’t stop officers from enforcing the law.
“If you think that’s crazy, congratulations, you’re a Republican!” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded to Katie Daviscourt’s post about the ride. If anyone needed further encouragement to change, this might do the trick for those who understand that the Democrats have simply gone off the rails.
That didn’t stop ICE from arresting some of the people at the facility on Sunday and using pepper balls. The anti-ICE team was not happy that some of their compatriots had fallen into the mud, so they screamed and demanded that they be released.

Many agents were present, as well as counter-protesters carrying a large painting of Charlie Kirk and several American flags, supporting ICE.
So I think it didn’t work the way they hoped.
