Julian McMahon, star of ‘Nip/Tuck’ and ‘FBI,’ dies at 56

Actor Julian McMahon, better known for his roles in the television series “Charmed”, “Nip / Tuck” and “FBI: Most Wanted”, died at 56 years after a private battle against cancer.
McMahon died Wednesday in Clearwater, Florida, his wife, Kelly McMahon, confirmed on Friday on the deadline.
“With an open heart, I want to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer,” she told the point of sale. “We ask for support during this period to allow our family to cry in privacy. And we wish all those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. ”
Kelly clarified the type of cancer that her husband had.
Born on July 27, 1968 in Sydney, Australia, McMahon began a career as a model before moving on to play. He quickly became a familiar name on the Australian soap opera “Home and Away”, then went to Hollywood for another role of day in “Another World” by NBC.
In the mid-1990s, he went to prime time emissions, first with a regular role as standard in the criminal drama of NBC “Profiler”, followed by his big break as half-Turner Cole Turner on the extremely popular supernatural series “Charmed”.
In 2003, he hung his leading first role on American television as a charming and feminizing Dr. Christian Troy in “Nip / Tuck” by Ryan Murphy. The drama of plastic surgery, which lasted six seasons and 100 episodes on FX, marked him a Golden Globe appointment for the best actor in a series.
More recently, he appeared on the “FBI” of Dick Wolf, before being hit to play in his last driving. As a special Jess Lacroix agent on “FBI: Most Wanted”, he managed a team responsible for finding the country’s most notorious criminals before leaving the show in 2022 at the end of season three.
While McMahon was undoubtedly known as a television star, he was loved by superhero films fans for his role as Dr Victor Von Doom in “Fantastic Four” in 2005 and his 2007 suite “Rise of the Silver Surfer”.
His film credits also included “Premonition” with Sandra Bullock, the starry film star “Red” and “The Surfer” with Nicolas Cage.
In addition to his wife for more than 10 years, McMahon is survived by his 25-year-old daughter, Madison, whom he shared with the ex-wife Brooke Burns.
