Former vice president and failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris was trolled online Friday after she introduced another accent while trying to impersonate President Donald Trump as a “mob boss.”
“You know, the way he looks at foreign policy, it seems, is when he talks about America first, it’s about walking away from those relationships and those ties,” Harris said while asserting that the administration has lost sight of international cooperation as a way to resolve regional conflicts.
“And then he kind of acts like a mob boss. So he kind of says, ‘Oh, well, you know, you take Eastern Europe, and I’ll take the Western Hemisphere. And then you over there, you get Asia, and we’ll just divide it up,’ right?”
Harris made the comments while speaking at a forum with the National Action Network, founded by controversial civil rights activist Al Sharpton.

Almost immediately, the mimicry sparked criticism online.
“JUST IN: CRINGE,” Eric Daugherty, a right-wing social media personality, said in a message to X.
“Add ‘mob boss’ to the list of embarrassing Kamala Harris accents,” a Republican campaign account said in its own memo.

A former Republican staffer for Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, included her moment from Friday alongside a series of other impersonations.
“Kamala Harris just debuted a new accent: a mob boss. Despite growing up in Berkeley, California and Montreal, Canada, Kamala has what she thinks is a Detroit accent,” Steve Guest wrote.

“Kamala Harris’ impersonation of Trump is the worst thing I’ve ever seen,” said conservative influencer Benny Johnson. “A total grimace.”
Harris’ remarks come as Trump attempts to broker peace talks with Iran while urging his European allies to pressure Tehran to reopen waterways vital to international energy trade.

Trump castigated his allies on social media for not joining the United States in its conflict with Iran.
“NATO wasn’t there when we needed it, and it won’t be there if we need it again,” Trump said in a message published Wednesday in Truth Social.
Earlier this week, the president reached a two-week interim ceasefire agreement with Iran, despite uncertainty over its exact terms.
Iran has presented a list of 10 demands that appear to contradict U.S. expectations for an end to the conflict.

In a message published in state media, Iran demanded, among other things, the lifting of all sanctions against Iran, the maintenance of control over the region’s main waterways, the US military withdrawal from the Middle East and the suspension of hostilities against Iran and its allies.
The two countries are expected to continue negotiations in Pakistan on Saturday.
