Kelsey Plum Throws Major Shade at Caitlin Clark After All-Star Game

A 151-131 victory against the Caitlin Clark team during the WNBA 2025 stars match, apparently, was not enough for the Los Angeles Kelsey Plum goalkeeper.
The 30-year-old Washington alum also had to embark on one of his counterparts of the opposite team at his post-match press conference after the victory.
The players of the two teams made the collective decision before the match – a few days after the negotiations in person with the officials of the WNBA – to go out and present a united message: the league must increase the wages of the players in the next collective negotiation.
These players went out for heating up for the All-Star game on Saturday wearing black shirts with the message “Pay us what you need” us “through the front.
Fans even scandalized noisily “pay them” during heating and during the MVP presentation after.

And although everyone had the impression that the shirts were a unanimous decision of each player in the star match, Plum, who is also vice-president of the WNBA Players’ Association, gave a certain clarity on the situation while taking a blow to Clark and in the rest of his All-Star list of 12 players in the process.
“It was a very powerful moment,” said Plum. “As players, we did not know that it was going to happen. It was a real surprise. The t-shirt was determined this morning. Not tattletal: Zero members of Team Clark was very present for this.
“It really had to be mentioned,” said the New York Liberty Guard and her colleague All-Star Sabrina Ionescu.
“I’m just trying to make the situation light, okay?” Plum added. “… But I think it was just that we arrive on the same wavelength before the match. We wanted to do something that was united and collective.”

While Plum’s remarks were probably only a light blow to Clark, who did not play in the match on Saturday when she was breastfeeding a right -off injury, some fans challenged her remarks, calling Plum on social networks for what she said.
“I don’t think she wanted to say that in bad faith, but there was also no reason to mention this,” a fan wrote.
“I cannot legitimately understand what was the goal of offering this little unnecessary information. As if they hadn’t even asked for it,” added another fan.
“See me personally, if I worked in an industry where one of my colleagues was about to increase my winning potential by 500% or more, I would simply not attack them whenever luck arose,” said a third fan.
“Taking a blow like this to the player is the only reason why you are able to ask for more money is a crazy Lmao,” said a user.
“They just can’t stop pouring the woman who makes the league popular and relevant for the first time. And she is so obviously motivated by jealously and petty self -destructive,” mocked another user.
