Nvidia rolls back latest GeForce GPU driver due to various bugs

You usually want to have the latest drivers for everything connected to your PC, especially a high-powered graphics card for beefy PC games. While Nvidia is usually pretty reliable when it comes to this sort of thing, the latest update was a bit of a dud – and that’s according to Nvidia itself, because it rolls back the latest GeForce driver.
According to an update released yesterday at 2 p.m. US Eastern Time, Game Ready and Studio 595.59 WHQL have an issue with GPU fan control. The most recent version of the driver included Game Ready-specific adjustments to Resident Evil Requiem And Marathontwo highly anticipated recent releases. Windows users can roll back the driver in the official Nvidia app or simply uninstall it manually and download the previous version (591.86 from January) from the Nvidia website.
Fan control is a big deal, because it cools a room that could cost four figures. And some users spend a lot of time manually changing fan settings to get better noise or performance. But according to some users, that wasn’t the only problem with the latest version. VideoCardz documents accelerated clock, broken HDR, and sleep resumption issues on some displays, along with a handful of other small bugs. Looks like this one definitely needed a little more time in the oven.
