Knicks’ Mikal Bridges Receives Major Prediction for 2025-26

2025-26 will it really be, ultimately the year of the New York Knicks?
Last season, New York finished with a solid record of 51-31 and seeded n ° 3 of the Eastern Conference, and walked to the final of the Eastern Conference during the playoffs. After the Knicks resulted in match 1 and finally lost the series in six competitions, New York dismissed the former coach of the year Tom Thibodeau after five largely successful seasons.

Mo Dakhil de Bleacher Report postulates that Bridges, acquired in a successful summer trade last year, could be online for a performative increase in resurgence in 2025-2010.
“The New York Knicks exchanged five first -round choices against Mikal Bridges last season with the concept that he would be the missing play for a final race,” notes Dakhil. “It didn’t happen; he never looked comfortable in the Tom Thibodeau system, especially with his 37 minutes per game.”

During his first season with New York, Bridges collected on average 17.6 points on .500 / .354 / .814 shooting, 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds, 0.9 interceptions and 0.5 blocks per night while playing 82 games for New York. In fact, Bridges has not missed a single match since its second professional season, 2019-20.
This production represented a drop in its production with the Brooklyn Nets. He had briefly resembled an All-Star limit when he got there as part of Kevin’s unhappy trade during the Phoenix Suns in 2023.
Assuming a much larger part of the offense, Bridges has an average of 26.1 points on .475 / .376 / .894 shooting film, 4.5 plates, 2.7 dimes, 1.0 interceptions and 0.6 blocks in its 27 competitions with the club to conclude the year.
These figures stabilized during his first (and only one) full season in Brooklyn, 2023-24, where he has an average of 19.6 points still solid, 4.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.0 interceptions, although in an abysmal team.
Bumpy bumpy transition
In New York, Bridges took a rear seat for the stars of the NBA Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, while he and Og Anunoby served as precious double-way compresses.
“It was always clear that the role of bridges would change after being the number one option in Brooklyn, so it is not a surprise that his figures have dropped,” wrote Dakhil. “What was unexpected was that his three-point percentage made a plunge. It went from 37.2% of three in season 23-24 to draw 35.4% last season.”
“Thibodeau did not do a good job by incorporating bridges into the offense or by presenting it when Jalen Brunson went to the bench, as rare as it was,” added Dakhil. “This should change under the new coach Mike Brown, who should be more willing to integrate bridges into the offense.”
Dakhil postulates that, if the bridges are allowed to cook a little more in attack during the Brunson’s minutes, he could enjoy a serious rally of his intermediary offensive performance last year.
