Kylie Jenner’s Plaid Nails Add a Sheer Twist to Winter’s Top Manicure Trend

Checkered nails were already trendy before they got Kylie Jenner’s stamp of approval, but nail artists should probably expect even more requests now that they have it.

On November 26, Jenner shared two photos of her latest nail art, courtesy of celebrity manicurist Zola Ganzorigt, who later posted cropped close-ups to her own Instagram. “Plaids for fall @kyliejenner 🍂🍁,” Ganzorigt captioned her post, confirming what we already knew: plaid nails are the coziest nail trend taking over this holiday season — and there are plenty of ways to make the preppy look your own.

Jenner’s take on the popular style featured the intricate fall pattern in a variety of colors, from earthy browns to pastel blues and lavender. However, Ganzorigt and Jenner took a sheer base approach, resulting in a final look that looks more like plaid tights than a cozy flannel.
