DWCS 86 video: Juan Diaz continues MMA's most violent trend
The Year of the Spinning Back Elbow continues.
Juan Diaz is the latest to contribute to 2025’s most violent trend as he sniped Won II Kwon for a knockout at 4:58 of Round 2 at Dana White’s Contender Series 86. A big hammerfist wasn’t necessary but it cranked the violence-o-meter up another notch.
2025 has seen lots of massive spinning back elbow knockouts including Lerone Murphy’s on Aaron Pico, Diego Lopes’ on Jean Silva, and Sergio Pettis’ on Magomed Magomedov.

Diaz, 27, extends his winning streak to eight and almost certainly earns a UFC contract. He entered DWCS as the Lux Fight League champion. Kwon entered DWCS off a loss in ONE Championship, so he falls into a two-fight skid.
