Jets’ Justin Fields returns to practice, will start if cleared

Florham Park, NJ – The quarter -back of the New York Jets, Justin Fields, returned to training on Thursday, which made it hope that he will erase the Concrete Concrete of the NFL cerebral in time to start on Monday evening against the Miami dolphins.
“He must still go through the whole protocol before he is completely cleared, but I like where he is,” said coach Aaron Glenn before training.
Fields was authorized to participate in contactless exercises and specific to the position, according to the protocol. If he is eliminated by a club doctor, he can return to a complete football activity involving contact – although the quarters always wear red and contactless jerseys in practice.
In the end, an independent neurologist must sign before the fields could play in a game.
Fields was injured in the fourth quarter of the defeat of week 2 of the jets against the Buffalo Bills. He was replaced by Tyrod Taylor, who made his first departure since 2023.
Taylor completed 26 of the 36 passes for 197 yards and two affected during the 29-27 defeat against the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay. He also had two reversals, including an interception returned for a touchdown.
Glenn has eliminated any doubt about the quarter situation, reiterating that the fields remain QB1.
“If he is cleared, he is the starter,” said the coach.
Jets (0-3) are looking for a spark in attack. After a promising performance during week 1 – 394 yards in total in a defeat of 34-32 against the Pittsburgh steelers – the offense had trouble starting.
During each of the last two games, the jets only reached the goals area in the fourth quarter, faced with large deficits. In Tampa, they made a game, marking two affected (plus one on special teams) to briefly take an advance from a point.
“We have to start quickly,” said Glenn, who wants more production of his racing game.
Fields, which signed a $ 40 million contract over two years in a free agency, was great during week 1. It finished 16 out of 22 for 218 yards and a touchdown, adding two other affected land.
Statistically, it was one of the best games in his career. A week later, he produced a total career QBR (1.1) in a 30-10 defeat against the Bills. He finished only 3 out of 11 for 25 yards.
The wide starting receiver Josh Reynolds, who missed two games with tension in the hamstrings, returned to train and will probably play against the dolphins (0-3).
