Les Wexner Gets Wild Legal Advice During House Epstein Depo

Billionaire and former CEO of Victoria’s Secret Leslie Wexner received some crazy legal advice during his six-hour deposition in the Epstein investigation this week.
Wexner sat for a closed-door deposition Wednesday with members of the House Judiciary Committee, which was recorded and posted to YouTube Thursday.
During the marathon questioning, when Democrats asked Wexner about his understanding of what Epstein had done for him at the time, the 88-year-old’s lengthy answers appeared to make his lawyer nervous.
Wexner began his lengthy response by saying he needed someone to keep track of his “personal matters” that were too complex for him to handle.
“I wanted someone who had a savvy in accounting, not finance, because I wasn’t looking to make more money, just someone to run things,” Wexner said.
“And then, coincidentally, I walked down the street like I mentioned and met him and asked him: I don’t know if it was six months later or a year later, something.”
So we called him and said, “Remember, when we met, I said, ‘I have a guy who handles my business, my personal business, because I wanted to keep the business away from the personal,’ and I said, ‘Could you take a look at it?’ You are smart. You are financially conscious. And he said, “That’s not what I’m doing, but… I’ll come and see.” So he started doing that.
Wexner continued, finally stating: “I would never have guessed that I was being deceived. Never, ever. The deception was so subtle.”
Wexner’s attorney patted him on the shoulder, gently reminding him: “Answer the question. I’m sure we all appreciate the stories, we’re just trying to answer the questions they actually want answered.”
The interrogator then asked how Epstein was able to manage Wexner’s finances while performing tasks for other clients at the same time.
Wexner began another long response when his lawyer ended things and whispered in his ear, just loud enough for the recording to pick up: “I’m going to kill you if you answer another question with more than five words, okay?”
Wexner appeared to take the advice good-naturedly as he and his lawyer laughed.
Wexner has been described as one of Epstein’s potential co-conspirators who helped him build his vast wealth. During his deposition, Wexner claimed he was also a victim of Epstein, who was “naive, stupid and gullible” for trusting the convicted sex offender and allowing him to defraud him out of lots of money.
