Lidl recalling chocolates because of undeclared nuts
Lidl US is recalling all lots of its Favorina Chocolate Ladybugs – German Nougat, 3.52 oz Box UPC 20304492 due to undeclared hazelnuts.
People with hazelnut allergies are at risk of serious and even fatal allergic reactions if they consume these products.
The products were distributed between January 28 and March 11. The product was distributed to all US Lidl stores in Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recall was launched after it was discovered that the product containing nuts was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of hazelnuts.
If customers have purchased this product, they should not consume it.
