Dodger Kiké Hernández honored in new North Hollywood mural

Dodgers’ utilitarian player, Kiké Hernández, was not born and grew up in Los Angeles.
A northern mural of Hollywood apparently inspired by the position of San Juan, Puerto Rico, the native position on immigration sweeping, which does not matter.
Hernández started an Instagram post of June 14 by declaring: “I may not be born and mounted, but this city adopted me as one of their own.”
The local artist Louie Pallino cemented the second part of this declaration in a new wall on the side of the tires and wheels Noho building on the 5600 block of Lankershim Boulevard. He presents the image of Hernández surrounded by the words “Born X raised” and “Los Angeles”.
Hernández said much more in the post, which seems to have inspired Palno. The double champion of the World Series expressed his support for immigrants from his adopted city and the dismay of how many of them were treated in a series of American immigration and the application of customs. The sweeping in Los Angeles have triggered demonstrations locally and elsewhere in the country.
“I am saddened and furious by what is happening in our country and our city,” wrote Hernández. “Los Angeles and Dodger fans welcomed me, supported me and showed me only kindness and love. This is my second house. And I cannot bear to see our community being raped, profiled, abused and torn. All people deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and human rights. ”
Under the name of Sloe Motions, Palsino has painted a number of high -level murals, including one in the fashion district of Kobe and Gianna Bryant which was vandalized, restored, then vandalized again in recent months.
He refused to discuss the Hernández fresco for this story, making the Times towards a statement he published on Instagram last week.
“Thank you @kikehndez for defending what is good and for Los Angeles,” wrote Palsino. “It is not a political position or anything to arouse a government program to divide us. It is simply a tribute to defend what is good and a real one. God on government. “
Palsino painted the Hernández fresco on a building that already presented two of its other rooms on the theme of the Dodgers – one of the legendary scully wine radiateur on an adjacent wall and one of the emblematic Mexican launcher Fernando Valenzuela on the door at the front before the trace of the garage
When the door opens, an image divided from Valenzuela and Hernandez is created.

The local artist Louie Pallino painted several murals on the theme of the Dodgers on the Noho Tires & Wheels building in North Hollywood, including images of (in the left hour on the left) Wine Scully, Kiké Hernández and Fernando Valenzuela.
