Trump Announces Historic Trade Deal With Not One but Two Major Countries – RedState
President Donald Trump made the headlines on Tuesday evening when he announced a historic trade agreement with Japan, which followed the news earlier in the day of an agreement with Indonesia.
Addressing the Republicans of the Congress during a room in the Hall Est House, President Trump announced that he had just “signed the biggest trade agreement in history” with Japan.

“I think that perhaps the biggest agreement in history. They had their best people here, and we worked there for a long time and hard. And it’s a lot for everyone,” said Trump, noting that there was “a lot of money” flowing in the United States

“The prices started better than anyone, apart from me and a few other people in the room, thought it could happen,” he added.

Breaking: Trump obtains a great victory in the agreement with China
The news followed an release from the White House earlier during the day on another mutual business with Indonesia.
The press release indicates:
Today, the United States of America (United States) and the Republic of Indonesia (Indonesia) have agreed to negotiate an agreement on reciprocal trade to strengthen our bilateral economic relationship, which will provide unprecedented access to exporters of the two countries to the other markets. The agreement on reciprocal trade will be based on our long-standing economic relations, including the United States commercial and investment agreement agreement, signed on July 16, 1996.
The parts of the agreement include the following elements:
Indonesia will eliminate approximately 99% of pricing barriers for a full range of American and American industrial and American food products exported to Indonesia.
The United States will reduce reciprocal prices to 19%, as indicated in the executive decree 14257 of April 2, 2025, on goods of origin of Indonesia, and can also identify certain basic products which are not naturally available or produced at the national level in the United States for a new reduction in the rate of reciprocal tariff.
The United States and Indonesia will negotiate facilitative rules of origin which guarantee that the advantages of the agreement accumulate mainly in the United States and Indonesia.
The United States and Indonesia have also been committed to approaching and preventing obstacles to American food and agricultural products on the Indonesian market, in particular by exempting American food and agricultural products from all regimes for granting import licenses, including the requirements of balance of raw materials; Ensure transparency and equity with regard to geographic indications; Provide a permanent designation of fresh origin of vegetable origin (FFPO) for all applicable American factory products; And recognize American regulatory monitoring, including the list of all American meat, poultry and dairy products and to accept certificates issued by the American regulatory authorities.
Indonesia will remove restrictions on exports to the United States of industrial products, including critical minerals.
