Early strikes out 11, tying Red Sox record for debut, Boston tops A’s 6-0 to close on Yankees

West Sacramento, California (AP) – Connelly struck at the start of 11 to equalize the Red Sox record for the beginnings of major leagues, and Boston broke the athletics 6-0 Tuesday evening to close New York Yankees for the top Al Wild Card.
