It is not Iran’s once-formidable navy that now poses the greatest threat to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, as its big ships all taste like sand on the ocean floor. It is their small craft that can harass and even take control of oil tankers and cargo ships, as these behemoths are not heavily armed and are generally not equipped with trained military crews.
With speedboats loaded with weapons, the Islamic Republic can disrupt traffic and make cautious shipping companies think twice before attempting to cross the strait, where 20% of the world’s oil transited before Operation Epic Fury.
They are like mosquitoes; They’re small, but they can do damage. Now Trump says he’s going to kick them out:

The president, actively present on social networks as we know, however, was not finished. He went on to say that the Islamic Republic is in total disarray after we decimated its (former) leaders, and no one even knows who is in charge. Is it the hardliners or the “moderates”?

Iran is having a hard time determining who its leader is! They just don’t know it! The infighting between the “hardliners,” who lost BADLY on the battlefield, and the “moderates,” who aren’t very moderate at all (but gain respect!), is CRAZY! We have complete control over the Strait of Hormuz. No vessel may enter or exit without approval from the United States Navy. It is “hermetically sealed” until Iran is able to make a DEAL!!! As you can see above, Trump is saying that we have an iron grip on the Strait of Hormuz, that we are not about to relinquish it, and that we will continue until they bend the knee or we bleed them dry economically.
Interestingly, the president has praised “moderates” on several occasions, presumably trying to support them and sideline the extremists. The question remains, however, how much power they actually have and whether they will be eliminated by the homicidal maniacs who make up much of the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps).
For now, however, those pesky little boats that are what’s left of Iran’s military forces are on notice: lay mines, harass ships, and you will suffer the same fate as many drug boats in the Caribbean Sea and the Eastern Pacific.
In other words, they will go “boom”.
